Being a writer was one of my earliest childhood dreams. Living with HIV/AIDS was not. To date, I've published four novels, all of them featuring main characters who are black, gay and HIV-positive. My books are like my kids. I'm happy with how they turned out and proud of their five Lambda Literary Award nominations.
